Kia EV5

Kia EV5

Kia EV5 could be the firm's best-selling electric car in time.

Sitting between the EV3 and EV9 in Kia’s electric car lineup, the EV5 is a rival to the likes of the Volkswagen ID.4, Ford Explorer and Renault Scenic. Based on the same ‘E-GMP’ platform as the big EV6 and EV9 models, it won’t get their ultra-fast 800-volt charging, but it does get sufficient battery capacity for a range of well over 500km. Kia says that it has developed an advanced heat-pump heating system so that cold weather takes less range out of the battery, while the cabin gets the same cool, minimalist look that we’ve already seen in the impressive EV9.
