Jeep Compass
The Jeep Compass is going all-electric, but it's still a Jeep at heart.
The new Jeep Compass should represent a major leap forward from the disappointing outgoing model. It’s based on the Stellantis Group’s ‘STLA Medium’ platform, which is a good thing, so it shares parts with the likes of the Peugeot E-3008 and the Opel Grandland Electric. At first, it gets a 73kWh battery with a useable 500km range, but there will be a longer-range model with a bigger 98kWh battery eventually. Jeep isn’t skimping on the ‘Jeepness’ either, with proper ground clearance, breakover angles and a 470mm water-wading depth, plus the interior looks suitably rugged and cool. More powerful four-wheel-drive models coming soon.
