Without question, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 is the most striking car the Korean firm has yet put on sale - it's SUV-sized, overall, but looks more like an overgrown hatchback, with deliberate overtones of the Hyundai Pony hatchback of the 1970s. Inside, it's spacious and airy, with fully reclining front seats in some models, has exceptional performance and range and tremendous quality. It's a little expensive, but that has been no barrier for Hyundai in recent years. The high-performance Ioniq 5 N adds another dynamic to the line-up, with sports car-rivalling power and acceleration without the tailpipe emissions. A serious game-changer in the EV market, and a huge seller in the Irish market.
