Citroen Ami
The Citroen Ami isn't quite a car, but you can buy one in Ireland.
Obviously, a sub-€10,000 price tag makes the Ami by some distance the cheapest new electric car you can currently buy in Ireland, but it’s not really a proper car. It’s technically a quadricycle and so limited to 45km/h and a 75km range. Still, it’s incredibly charming, brilliant at low speeds in town and really rather fun if you can look past the left-hand drive, total lack of refinement and spine-ruining ride quality. Will mostly be bought as a promotional tool by businesses hoping to grab attention.
