BMW iX

If you can live with the looks, the BMW iX is an impressive electric SUV - especially after its 2025 update.

The iX has courted controversy right from the get-go, thanks to its - ahem - challenging styling and a traditionalist-baiting promo film. It is as brilliant to drive as it is awkward to look at, though, and the cabin is truly a thing of beauty, with tonnes of space, high quality and a brilliant, curved touchscreen. A major update in 2025 introduced the new iX xDrive45 model, with more power (408hp) and more range (up to 602km) while there’s an xDrive60 model with a bigger battery and a range of up 701km or the M70 version with 659hp.
