Following on from the brilliant BMW iX3 - the first electric production car on the ‘Neue Klasse’ platform - comes the one we’ve all been waiting for, the i3 which, even though it borrows its badge from the funky 2014 electric hatchback, is actually an electric 3 Series. It should look the part too, sticking close to the lines of the dramatic original concept, with an interior that’s just roomy enough and that uses the same fantastic ‘Panoramic Vision’ screen as the iX3. We’re expecting a long range, sporty handling and a relatively affordable price tag. What more do you want from a premium electric car?
