Dave is attending the international launch of the Volkswagen ID. Polo in Austria. The long-awaited electric car is set to arrive in Ireland in mid-October with an on-the-road starting price of €21,410. The full review of the ID. Polo goes live on September 9.
On test: Volkswagen Golf GTI Edition 50 on Irish roads at last
Shane has the VW Golf GTI Edition 50 on loan and it has the Performance Pack as tested in Spain. In its 'Special' mode it's a bit extreme for bad roads, but otherwise a lot of fun. We do wish it could be had with a manual gearbox, however, and worry about the wear and tear after only 4,000km on the clock. Oh, and this one costs about €84k.
