First view of Hyundai i40 saloon

We have the first image and details of Hyundai's promising i40 saloon.

Hyundai has released a rendering of the four-door i40 saloon, which will be unveiled later this month in Barcelona. The saloon follows the i40 estate, which was launched at the Geneva Motor Show in March.

The new car was designed at Hyundai's studio in Germany and represents the latest expression of the company's 'Fluidic Sculpture' design language. For the saloon the idea was to avoid a traditional 'three box' look and come up with a sweeping, coupé-style profile.

The Hyundai i40 saloon will be unveiled at the Barcelona Motor Show on Thursday 12th May.
