Ford lays out 201-plate stall

Ford offers up to €1,000 off a new car to get 201 business.

Ford is offering buyers looking for a 201-plate car as much as €1,000 off the price.

'Registration Bonus' of €1,000

Ford has announced its 201 Sales Event and it's going to include a 'registration bonus' of €1,000 and a combination of seven years' warranty and seven years' roadside assistance.

"The objective of our Ford 201 Sales Event campaign is to bring a range of enticing offers to motorists who are in the market for a new car and to provide the car packed with the latest smart technologies", said Ciarán McMahon, Chairman and Managing Director of Ford Ireland. "Our overall package includes the option of a registration bonus or low rate of finance on popular models like our award winning Focus or the EcoSport compact SUV, plus an Upgrade Pack of selected technologies. And all with the added security of a seven-year warranty and seven years' roadside assistance."

Focus and EcoSport get tech upgrade packs

Examples of what's on offer include a Fiesta Titanium on which you can choose either a low finance rate of 3.9 per cent APR or a 'registration bonus' of €1,000. Or, you could go for the Focus ST-Line, which you can have with either a 1.9 per cent APR finance package, or that €1,000 registration bonus. That model is now priced at €24,481 and gets a free tech upgrade pack that includes a rear-view camera.

Then there's the EcoSport Titanium small crossover, which you can have at the same 3.9 per cent finance rate as the Fiesta, or with the €1,000 discount. That model is now priced at €23,820 with a special upgrade pack that includes privacy glass, front parking sensors and a rear spoiler.

"The Ford 201 Sales Event also extends to Ford's market-leading commercial vehicle range. For example, the latest version of Ireland's favourite van, the Transit Custom, is available with a reduction of €4,500, 3.9 per cent low APR and the reassurance of a five year warranty", concluded McMahon.
