The Audi Urban Future Initiative has New York's Manhattan in its sights as the first step in a long-term project to look at city living and urban transport.
Audi has commissioned five New York City-based architects to come up with their vision of how the city might look in the future. Rather than just have sketches, though, Audi has brought the ideas to life with the help of online technology so visitors to the exhibition can experience what each architect sees as the future.
"The years ahead may well define new understandings about the future of urban living and mobility," says Johan de Nysschen, President, Audi of America. "So it is a privilege for Audi to kick off a discussion on diverse visions of this future here in New York through the work of the Audi Urban Future Initiative."
