Special Edition Renault Zoe announced

Renault is offering more spec for less on electric Zoe.

What's the news?

If you're considering the purchase of a new electric car, then the latest offer from Renault may be of interest to you. The French car marker is introducing a special edition Renault Zoe Z.E. 40 R110 S-Edition for a limited time. Its name may be a bit of a mouthful, but it does come with a more spec for less money.

Standard equipment on the Zoe Z.E. 40 R110 S-Edition includes all of the features that come on the Dynamique Nav model, plus a reversing camera, upgraded Bose stereo system and half leather seats. Other standard items include 16-inch alloy wheels, keyless entry, rear parking sensors, cruise control with speed limiter function, sat nav mapping for Ireland and UK,

One of the better features in the Zoe is the onboard chameleon charger that gives it the capability to recharge its battery more quickly at 22kW public charge points. Doing so, Renault says, can increase driving range by 85 kilometres in around 30 minutes. The total driving range is a claimed 317 kilometres from its 41kWh battery.

Pricing for the Zoe Z.E. 40 R110 S-Edition is €28,990, and this includes the battery, so there's no additional monthly lease fee to be paid. Additionally, Renault Ireland is offering 0 per cent APR on all new Zoe models that are ordered before 31st July.

Commenting on the announcement, Patrick Magee, Country Operations Director, Renault Ireland, said: "Renault confirmed its position as Europe's number one EV brand in 2018. There are many factors which contribute to the popularity of the electric Zoe, especially among Irish customers - it's not only the most affordable long-range electric car on the market but provides style, practicality and state-of-the-art technology to boot. The best way to find out how well a Zoe fits into your life is to take a 24-hour test drive - on offer from all of Renault's 26 Irish dealers."
