More efficiency and spec for big Porsches

Porsche has enhanced the Panamera and Cayenne.

Porsche has enhanced the performance and improved economy and emissions on the Cayenne range with a revised 3.0-litre V6 turbodiesel gaining 5hp and dropping 12g/km off its CO2 output. The drop sees the Cayenne Diesel fall into a lower tax band, while performance is enhanced with the 0-100km/h time dropping by 0.2 seconds to 7.6 seconds.

The Diesel isn't the only Cayenne to benefit from changes, as the Porsche Cayenne Hybrid S is now able to run from a cold start on battery power alone. Those less concerned with environmental issues might like the new availability of a Powerkit for the Cayenne Turbo. It raises output by 40hp to improve the 0-100km/h time by 0.1- to 4.6 seconds and allow it to reach a 283km/h top speed. That's all for no increase in fuel consumption or emissions.

Porsche's Cayenne isn't the only model to benefit from some changes, with the German company also now offering new options on the Panamera line-up. Lane Change Assist has been adopted from the Cayenne, while from June Panamera customers will be able to surf the web via wireless internet access.
