This is the Volkswagen Polo saloon, a car which is being made just for the Russian market, though could end up on sale in other countries.
We have not had a Polo saloon in Ireland for several generations, but this new model would be certain to be a strong seller here if it became available in right-hand drive.
Revealed at the Moscow Motor Show, the Russian-built Polo is specially adapted to cope with poor Russian weather and road conditions.
There is only one engine available, and that is a new 1.6-litre 105hp petrol engine.
