It's only an aesthetic update of the standard M2 with the 3.0-litre turbocharged straight-six engine being left alone, though that's hardly the end of the world given that the M2 is already a quick car with 370hp and a zero to 100km/h time of 4.3 seconds with the optional 7-speed double-clutch automatic gearbox.
The Coupé Edition Black Shadow is exclusively available in metallic Sapphire Black paint and sits on light 19-inch matte black forged alloys with a Y-spoke design. The colour and carbon accents give it a slightly menacing look with carbon side mirrors, kidney grille and trim bars along the side panels all finished in gloss black. The rear diffuser gets a carbon finish too and the signature double exhausts, which are integrated into the rear valance, get black chrome trims. All this, according to BMW, "further accentuate the top athlete's powerful appearance".
Expect the Black Shadow to go on sale in April, 2018, but here's the bad news: it's not coming to right-hand-drive markets such as the UK and Ireland. Boooo.
