What's the news?
Following a successful first event last year, Runway Club Live is returning to Weston Airport in Dublin on 14 April 2018 to put on an even more spectacular show.
The primary purpose of the event is to offer drivers the chance to fully exploit their car's performance on the runway. Supercars will go head-to-head over a half-mile drag and will have the opportunity to try to reach their car's full potential over the one kilometre V-max runs.
For this year's event, more attention will go to spectators with a new grandstand being positioned on the start line to provide a great view of the cars as they tear off down the runway. A new element being added this year is the Car Expo where visitors will be able to see the latest models from Alfa Romeo, Audi Centre, BMW, Kia and Tesla. Numerous car clubs will display various models from many different marques.
A trade village will showcase all other things automotive, while visitors can keep track of proceedings via a large screen that will show the cars and who is heading up the leading board. Other features include a kids zone with driving simulators and a food pavilion.
Anything else?
In addition to seeing some of the fastest supercars in Ireland battle it out on the runway, the day will see numerous action displays from the likes of the Irish Drift Championship.
Tickets for Runway Club Live 2018 can be purchased via the Runway Club website with prices starting from €25 and under 12s from €10.
