Unique Beetle returns home

VW Beetle posted with 50,350 stamps heads into Wolfsburg Museum.

A Volkswagen Beetle plastered in 50,350 postage stamps has reached its final destination at the Volkswagen Museum. The car has been sent all over Europe, but has made it home to be a permanent exhibition in the Museum in Wolfsburg, Germany.

Originally conceived in 1997, the "Stamp Beetle" celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Wolfsburg Stamp Collector's Association. To mark the occasion, philatelists covered the car with 50,350 stamps collected from all over the world.

Should Volkswagen ever decide to sell this Beetle, at least it'll be able to claim it has a fully stamped service history...
