Bowler bought out

Bowler, the creators of bonkers Land Rover-based off-road racers, has been bought out.

Bowler is renowned for its astoundingly good off-roaders such as its latest Nemesis model, but now it has a new owner.

The change of ownership means CPP Global Holdings is now in charge of Bowler, though CPP has been quick to point out it has no intentions of changing the Bowler way of doing things. Brendan O'Toole, managing director of CPP, said: "We have followed Bowler for several years and are delighted to have the opportunity to take Bowler to new heights."

The company will continue to be run by founder Drew Bowler, who said: "We can now expand to reach our full potential thanks to CPP's resources. We will continue to do what we do best, which is developing, engineering and racing our cars."

CPP has also recently acquired the assets of the Spyker sports car business and has brought production to the UK.
