Matt Black Fiat 500 arrives in Ireland

Limited edition 'manly' Fiat 500 offered to Irish motorists.

Last year the special pink edition of the Fiat 500 aroused many a female Irish motorist, however its latest offering is directed more so towards the male population.

So what differentiates this edition from the standard 500?  For starters only 200 right-hand drive examples will be produced in total, with only a handful of these actually reaching Irish shores. Other than this exclusivity, and the cool paintwork, the majority of the car remains unchanged.

Those parts that are changed are done so to match the stealthy looking matt paintwork, with the mirrors, mouldings and door handles boasting a satin chrome finish. The 16-inch sport alloy wheels have also received the matt finish.

Irish models will only be available with the Italian marque's latest award-winning, lightweight, two cylinder "TwinAir" engine, which delivers 85hp, while comfortably fitting into tax band A with just 95g/km of CO2 being emitted.

Each Limited Edition will come in standard 500 Sport spec, which features sports seats and sports suspension, as well as stop-start. Unlike traditional Limited Edition models from other marques, this will go on sale for no more than that of the standard model specified with metallic paint, which is €16,445.
