Bulging bodykits and more power for your big E-Class.

What's the news?

Fancy a new Mercedes Benz E-Class saloon or estate but reckon that the standard car, even the AMG-tweaked ones, don't quite have the requisite amount of menace for you? Well, Brabus has the answer...

Rather in the manner of Alpina to BMW M, Brabus has for years now been Merc's semi-official tuners and tweakers, always willing and able to go that little bit further than the in-house AMG brand. And while this isn't exactly stuffing in a big V12 engine (something to which Brabus has resorted in the past) there is a little extra muscle on offer.

Available for Avantgarde or Exclusive trim E-Class, the bodykits (manufactured on OEM quality from high-grade PUR plastics, ensuring optimal fit and paintability) are actually pretty subtle, save for the replacement of the Mercedes star in the grille with Brabus' big, bold B. The looks are complemented by aerodynamic efficiency optimised in the wind tunnel. Thanks to its sophisticated shape, it actually reduces front axle lift at high speeds.

At the back there's a diffuser and sports quad exhausts.

The kit can be added to with gorgeous, dark-finished Monoblock alloys. Wheels with diameters ranging from 18 to 21-inches in various styles and designs were safety-certified for the S 213 model series by independent German Technical Inspection Association TÜV. They can all be wrapped with Yokohama, Continental, or Pirelli tyres.

Brabus can also tweak your E-Class' suspension, either simply by making it a little stiffer, or by actually dropping it by 30mm. There's also a special, Brabus-designed reset for the optional air suspension.

As for engine tweaks, Brabus will lift the power of even the lowly E200 petrol, taking it to a more muscular 225hp, and 330Nm of torque (all with its original factory warranty, of course). The E250 petrol can be boosted to 245hp and 400Nm of torque, while even the AMG-engined E43 can be given a bit of Brabus magic, boosting it to 450hp and 570Nm of torque.

There are diesel mods too, with the E220d brought up to 217hp and given and extra 50Nm of torque, while the V6 E350d can be boosted to 309hp and an incredible 720Nm.

There's also the option of a rorty exhaust system that has a 'stealth' mode for the stainless steeel quad-pipe exhaust system - at the touch of a button on the steering wheel, the driver can choose between a decidedly subtle "Coming home" mode and an extra sporty exhaust note.

There are also interior options including stainless scuff plates with Brabus logo backlit in 64 colours, synced to the standard interior ambience lighting, as well as aluminum accessories such as pedals and door pins add markedly sporty highlights, and an all-leather Brabus interior finished in any desired colour from especially soft yet durable Brabus Mastik leather and Alcantara.

Nice.
