Just 500 versions of this Porsche 911 Turbo S Exclusive Series model will be built.

What's the news?

Porsche is ramping up the power of its hardly-puny 911 Turbo S for a special, limited edition 'Exclusive Series' model.

Not exactly bereft of power at the best of times, the 911 Turbo S has seen its output climb by 27hp to a whopping 607hp for this model. Torque rises to 750Nm, giving the car a 0-100km/h time of 2.9 seconds, and a top speed of 330km/h.

In spite of that, fuel consumption is quoted at a relatively gentle average of 31mpg, while Co2 emissions are 212g/km. Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) are both standard.

Porsche says that the Turbo S Exclusive Series is "intricately finished by hand in the Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur at the company headquarters in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen, Germany. Previously known as 'Porsche Exclusive', the in-house workshop specialises in tailoring to customer wishes as well as being responsible for limited series production. Furthermore, for the first time ever, Porsche customers can have the matching chronograph from Porsche Design configured in the same design as that chosen for their sports car." Nice.

On the outside, the bonnet, roof, and side-skirts are all now made of carbon-fibre, while the paint is an exclusive Golden Yellow Metallic (other colours are available on request), and there are raw, unpainted carbon finishers on the bonnet and roof. There's a slight redesign for the back end of the car, and and a carbon-finished ram-air scoop.

The black-painted wheels are 20-inch diameter, and behind them for the first time you can have the Porsche composite carbon brake callipers painted black, instead of their usual yellow.

There are also a number of specially-designed accessories to go with the car, including a leather Exclusive Series luggage set that has been developed specially for customers who buy a vehicle from the limited production run. The bags have been designed with some of the same styling motifs as the car, and are shaped to perfectly fit the luggage compartment.

As for the watch, which is also limited to 500 units, its housing is made of lightweight titanium, and its black titanium carbide coating emphasises its sporting design. The carbon dial is taken from the striking carbon weave stripes on the 911 Turbo S Exclusive Series and finished in the actual paint used on the car. The rotor design is modelled on the wheel rims and painted in the original colour. The winding mechanism features a typical Porsche central lock with the Porsche crest on the movement.

The watch costs STG£8,7000 (so probably around €10,000 here) and the car it comes with has a price tag of STG£186,916, which would mean an import price here of close to €400,000.
