Classic and modern Ford Le Mans winners launched in LEGO form.

What's the news?

If you, like countless others, didn't get the congratulatory letting confirming your Ford GT order, fear not, as there is soon to be a more affordable option. Much, much more affordable in fact. Ford has teamed up with The LEGO Group to create new kits of both the 1966 Ford GT40 and 2016 Ford GT Le Mans winning cars.

The kits are part of the current LEGO Speed Champions range that includes some of the most iconic high performance road and race cars.

"Many people in my team grew up with the legend of Ford's history-making 1966 victory - and experienced the excitement of building and design for the first time through LEGO bricks," said Dave Pericak, global director, Ford Performance. "This kit is a powerful way to tell our Le Mans story, and will hopefully inspire the race drivers, engineers, and designers of the future."

Anything else?

If you can't quite wait until these kits go on sale in March, LEGO has also created buildable versions of both the Ford Mustang and Ford F150 Raptor. Pricing for each kit is expected to be approximately €34.99.
