Even rarer Lexus LFA revealed

Lexus will launch its Nürburgring Package for the LFA in Geneva.

The fastest and most exclusive model to come from Lexus yet, the LFA, is to be offered with even more performance, and will be aimed at track orientated drivers, thanks to the addition of a package titled simply Nürburgring.

The set-up will only be offered on 50 of the 500 cars being built, guaranteeing even more exclusivity to buyers of the Japanese manufacturer's halo model. The LFA features a 4.8-litre V10, which has undergone modest retuning to release an extra 10bhp - brining the total to 570hp. The six-speed sequential transmission offers faster gear shifts too.

Additional aerodynamic features are also part of the package - a carbon-fibre weaved splitter and winglets can be seen adorning the front bumper. From the side profile, the most obvious change is the use of different multi-spoke wheels to the standard model's; closer inspection reveals thin carbon-fibre side-skirts. The biggest visual difference comes at the rear of the car where the flush, hydraulic spoiler has been replaced by a fixed twin-turret wing, made from, no prizes for guessing, carbon-fibre.

The car in this guise will debut at the Geneva Motor Show this March. Prices have yet to be announced.
