Stunning new Nissan electric sports car

The Nissan ESFLOW two-seat coupé debuts at next month's Geneva Motor Show.

Nissan will pull the wraps of an all-new, two-seat electric sports car concept, called the ESFLOW, at next month's Geneva Motor Show.

The Japanese firm has promised that its latest creation will be just as dramatic to drive as it looks. An electric vehicle (EV) it may be, but it features rear-wheel drive and is apparently capable of hitting 100km/h in less than five seconds.

Power will be channelled though two electric motors, which will drive a rear wheel each. Laminated lithium-ion batteries will provide the juice, each one mounted low for better weight distribution. Power output has yet to be revealed.

Among the bold claims for the ESFLOW are a wraparound windscreen for unobstructed visibility and the ability to travel for 240 kilometres on a single charge.

Nissan has also stressed that the ESFLOW is an electric car from the ground up - not an internal combustion model that has been converted to run on electricity.

As for the looks, that's up to you to decide. We reckon there's a hint of Gotham City about it.

Either way, the voluptuous composite curves and cool blue headlamps are sure to draw the crowds at its Swiss unveiling next month. The ESFLOW even rides on an aluminium chassis with a built-in roll cage.
