In Ireland, the Audi Q5's reputation as a technologically innovative and efficient mid-range SUV makes it one of the most popular cars in its class. The 2.0 TDI 190 quattro SE model is the highest selling Q5 this year with the OTR price for the range starting at €43,580, or €399 per month with PCP. Audi Ireland has sold 333 Q5s so far this year, a rise of 17 per cent over last year's figures. That's well ahead of the 4.5 per cent increase in global sales of the car.
"The Audi Q5 is a genuine guarantee of success for us. For that reason, I am very proud that we have created a worldwide crowd puller with this SUV model from the main plant in Ingolstadt. One million Audi Q5 cars - that is due to the outstanding performance of our production team. We achieved it with great effort and commitment," said Albert Mayer, Plant Director at the Audi site in Ingolstadt.
Peter Mosch, Chairman of the Group Works Council of AUDI AG, said: "On behalf of the Works Council, I would like to thank all the colleagues who put our Audi Q5 on the roads. Their skills make this SUV into an absolute bestseller."
