SsangYong concept for Geneva

The SUT 1 concept from SsangYong previews a new pickup.

SsangYong will burst into the Geneva Motor Show 2011 with this, the SUT 1 concept. It's basically a replacement for the Actyon Sports pickup truck that never made it to the Irish market.

Before you ask, there's no word on whether this one will make it either, but based on these pictures, if it did that wouldn't actually be so bad. Looks alright, doesn't it?

It's exactly 4,985mm long, 1,910mm wide and 1,755mm high, which is a similar size to the current car, says Ssangyong.

Power comes from a Euro V compliant 2.0-litre diesel engine with 155hp and 360Nm of torque from 1,500rpm.

The SUT 1 will be on sale in Europe by 2012 and will get both front- and four-wheel drive running gear.  We'll let you know if it's to be sold here.
