First look at i40 interior

Hyundai has released a single shot of the promising looking Hyundai i40's cabin.

This promising looking interior is that of the new Hyundai i40. The Mondeo-baiting model is due to debut as an estate at the Geneva Motor Show in March.

As you can see, the inside's general sense of rakishness mimics the outside, and although we're yet to touch it with our driving gloves on, it looks well made too.

Hyundai says it comprises "sculpted shapes and a thoughtful layout," although we'd suggest that all shapes are sculpted, and very few car interiors thoughtless.

Because you have eyes you can see what's happening yourself - your opinion is, of course, as valid as ours - but it looks like the top level of plastics (from the wavy silver trim upwards) are soft touch. An engine start button is obvious, and the steering wheel is packed with switches.

The i40 is Hyundai's major debut at Geneva, although it will also wheel out the Veloster Coupé and Curb concept, fresh from their Detroit showings.
