Not much to note here, as the Amarok is one of the best-looking machines in its class and so Volkswagen feels it only needs the most minor of tidying. The sketches show the front end has been mildly redesigned but it's in the interior where the biggest change is made, as a new instrument panel makes the big 'Rok feel a little more upmarket; this is perhaps in response to the rise in cabin quality of rivals like the Ford Ranger, Nissan NP300 Navara and Mitsubishi L200.
Wolfsburg still claims the Amarok, a mighty 5,250mm long and 2,230mm wide including its mirrors, will blend 'passenger car-like on-road manners with full off-road capability', although it's going to retain leaf springs at the back and not adopt the fully independent suspension seen on the more luxurious versions of the Navara.
Anything else?
More details on the facelifted Amarok will be coming soon, with the facelifted pick-up expected to go on sale before the end of 2016.
