Nissan LEAF to cost €29,995 in Ireland

Nissan's LEAF electric vehicle will cost €29,995 after the government allowance of €5,000 when it comes to Ireland in February 2011.

Nissan Ireland have just announced that its LEAF electric vehicle will go on sale in Ireland in February 2011, with a price tag of €29,995 including the government allowance of €5,000.

The fully electric vehicle, which has an 80kw AC motor, which develops 280Nm of torque, enough for a maximum speed of 140km/h will deliver 160km from a full charge. 

There will be just one version of Nissan LEAF available in Ireland equipped with features such as 16" Alloy Wheels, fully automatic Climate Control, Satellite Navigation, Cruise Control, a Rear Parking Camera and a Quick Charge Socket.  Safety equipment such as Driver, Passenger, Side and Curtain airbags will be standard along with Electronic Stability Control. Equipment will also include the very distinctive LED headlamps which is a first for Nissan.

Nissan estimate that the average annual running costs for a LEAF will be approximately €232 per year.
