Over 30 vehicles are on display including some of the most important landmark vehicles in the Bavarian manufacturer's history. The company began building aero-engines in 1916, with motorbikes and cars following shortly after. The exhibits include key machines such as the 328 from 1936, the beautiful 507 roadster from 1955 and the Isetta bubble car. BMW is as keen as always to express its motorsport achievements and the subsequent strong links with road car engineering, so to that end you can be sure that a couple of M-cars will be highly visible...
A couple of videos (with sound, of course) of old M1s or DTM-spec E30s would be nicely welcome. The human side is celebrated too, with focus on the passion of the company's employees as a key factor contributing to the success of the business.
Anything else?
The exhibition opened on March 10th, and runs all the way through to September next year. The museum itself is well worth a trip, with plenty inside to keep young and old content for a few hours. More information can be found at www.bmw-museum.de.
