Volkswagen extends its 161 offers until end of January

What's the news?

Following hot on the heels of sister brand SEAT, Volkswagen is keeping some special offers for 161-plate buyer on the go through to the end of January. 

It's offering R-Line exterior styling packs for half price on the Golf, Beetle, Scirocco, Passat and CC and half-price upgrade to Edition-R Golf and Tiguan models. The Edition-R Golf and Tiguan get, in addition to the R-Line exterior styling and sports suspension in both models, extra interior equipment such as sports seats and ambient lighting in the Golf, along with R-Line and leather upholstery, Discover Media navigation system and a USB Media-In interface in the Tiguan Edition-R.

In the other models, for €710 on a Polo you can have an R-Line pack featuring 16-inch 'Salvador' alloys and R-Line bumpers; on a Golf or Golf Estate it's €788 for 17-inch Salvador alloy wheels, R-Line bumpers, body coloured rear spoiler, R-Line radiator grille and sports suspension.

The Beetle gets 18-inch 'Twister alloys', R-Line bumpers, body coloured rear spoiler, R-Line radiator grille and sports suspension for €750, while for €500 you can add 18-inch Salvador alloy wheels and R-Line exterior styling to the Scirocco.

The Passat can be equipped with R-Line bumper and sill extensions with chrome trapezoidal exhaust and chrome additions on rear bumper and the all-important R-Line logo on the radiator grille for €720, while the CC four-door coupé gets 18-inch Mallory alloy wheels, a leather-wrapped R-Line multifunction steering wheel, R-Line bumpers and sill extensions, front scuff plates with R-Line logo, front fog lamps with chrome trim for €975.

Finally, the Touareg gets 21-inch R-Line Mallory alloy wheels, chromed angular tailpipe, front and rear bumpers in R-Line design, sill extensions and rear spoiler in body colour, radiator grille in R-Line design and a stainless steel loading edge protection for €1,091 or just €475 without the 21-inch Mallory wheels.

Customers can also upgrade from the Golf Comfortline to the Golf Edition-R for just €750 instead of €1,500, which adds 'Mel Stripe' upholstery, sports front seats, ambient lighting, 17-inch Salvador alloy wheels, R-Line exterior styling, rear tinted windows and sports suspension.

In addition, Tiguan customers can upgrade from the Sport and Style model to the Edition-R for just €1,000 (RRP €2,000). This adds a leather R-Line multifunction steering wheel, R-Line 'Vienna' leather upholstery, stainless steel pedals, titanium black headliner, 18-inch 'Mallory' alloy wheels, R-Line bumpers and spoiler, matte chrome mouldings, black wheel arch extensions, 'Discover Media' navigation system, USB Media-In interface and sports suspension.
