Exterior
Although the platform is shared with the Peugeot 308 DS Automobiles has tried to give the 4S its own identity. The front grille features a prominent 'DS' emblem while the LED headlamps are designed to mimic jewellery. Scrolling turn signals and moving directional headlamps are part of the package.
Interior
A long wheelbase and compact rear suspension contributes to 'class-leading' leg and head room for rear seat passengers. The interior should be a quiet place thanks to thorough soundproofing. As for the design, the intention is to evoke the spirit of Parisian luxury with a handcrafted leather dashboard and door panels.
Mechanicals
Three turbocharged petrol engines will be available to Chinese buyers; the entry-level is Peugeot's 1.2-litre, three-cylinder motor. Two 1.8-litre units are offered in 134 and 201hp guises to complete the line-up.
