Porsche Cayman Black Edition revealed

Porsche Cayman is latest model to get the all-black treatment.

Porsche Cayman Black Edition joins the 911 Carrera and Boxster all-in-black family.

Exterior

Based on the standard Porsche Cayman, the two-door coupé is, as suggested by its name, finished all in black. It rolls on wide, 20-inch Classic Carrera wheels and features bi-Xenon headlights including Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS). Aluminium side window trims are optional.

Interior

The partial leather interior is also finished all in black and standard equipment includes air conditioning, seven-inch colour touchscreen infotainment, tyre pressure monitoring, Porsche Stability Management (PSM) and a three-year warranty and roadside assistance package. On top of this, special Black Edition features include a Sports Design steering wheel, an automatic anti-dazzle rear view mirror, auto wipers, a two-zone climate control system, heated seats, Bluetooth and the Sound Package Plus audio system (this comprises a separate amplifier with a total output of 235 watts, seven amplifier channels and nine speakers). Other technology includes cruise control, front and rear Park Assist and Porsche Communication Management (PCM) with satnav featuring online services with real-time traffic information.

Mechanicals

Mounted behind the driver is the unchanged 2.7-litre, flat-six engine from the standard Cayman, which develops 275hp and is capable of propelling the car to from 0 to 100km/h in 5.7 seconds and on to a top speed of 265km/h.

Anything else?

Porsche Cayman Black Edition owners can explore the car's potential by participating in a complimentary course at the Porsche Experience Centre in Silverstone in the UK.

The Porsche Cayman Black Edition is priced from €82,767 and on sale now.
