Mondello Park has announced Yokohama as the tyre partner for the 1,200cc Fiesta Championship and the new for 2016 Fiesta ST Championship. Both classes will run on Yokohama A048 race tyres for the 2016 and 2017 seasons.
Murray Motorsport will supply the tyres and provide support at every event. Yokohama will also send a tyre engineer to selected rounds, offering advice to all drivers and teams on how to get the best from the tyres.
The ADVAN A048R tyres have been used in various race series for several years. Running on a standard tyre should ensure plenty of close racing. Teams will be able to run on the tyres in the 2015 Endurance race this November, allowing drivers to gain experience of the new equipment before the 2016 season starts.
