We are but days away from the launch of one of the most eagerly anticipated models of the year - Bentely's first-ever SUV, the Bentayga.
While we don't know exactly what it looks like yet (well, those of us who don't regularly trawl the websites of Chinese model car makes - hint, hint...) we do now know a little more about how fast it's going to be. Bentley has confirmed that the W12-engined Bentayga (that's a 6.0-litre twelve-cylinder twin-turbo engine, for those who've forgotten) will have a top speed of 301km/h. That makes it, for now, the fastest SUV in the world, at least until Lamborghini's distantly related Urus moves into view.
Bentley is claiming, along with this short teaser film, that the Bentayga will have "the best combination of power, torque and efficiency of any car in its class. Performance of this nature is rare in any car. It was unheard of in an SUV - until now."
