One of the first rules of business is know your customer, hence why Rolls-Royce is once again returning to Porto Cervo, Sardinia, with its Summer Studio.
Essentially a glorified pop-up shop for the wealthy elite, the luxury car maker will use the setting to provide a more relaxed place in which prospective buyers can sample the company's latest wares.
The informal Summer Studio gives buyers, or as Rolls-Royce prefers to call them, clients, a setting that is more beach club or lounge than dealership. Should they so wish there is a fleet of Rolls-Royce Phantom, Ghost and Wraith available to test-drive around the coastal roads of the area. There's even a private Atelier, where customers can spend hours deciding exactly what specification they want on their bespoke commission.
According to Isobel Dando, General Manager, Future Retail, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars: "The Studio here in Sardinia and its equivalents around the world have pioneered how super-luxury brands build relationships with some of the world's most discerning people."
Those visiting the Studio will also get an opportunity to see one of three limited edition Bespoke Porto Cervo Wraiths, which have been created especially for this event. The cars carry a nautical theme with bright Azurite Blue exterior hue detailed with a white coachline that features the Promenade du Port emblem. This same logo is embroidered into the headrests. A perfect reminder of your time on holiday and far classier, albeit a touch more expensive, than taking a hotel towel home.
Anything else?
It isn't just all about cars though; there will be a number of events hosted there until the 18th of September. Wine connoisseur, Tom Harrow, will be hosting a tasting series of perfect wines for yacht cruising while tailor to the stars, Timothy Everest, will be on hand to examine the latest fashion trends.
