Alpines to parade up Goodwood Hill Climb

Wide selection of Alpines past and present to climb Lord March’s driveway.

A procession of Alpines, including the Celebration show car seen at Le Mans, are to troop up the Goodwood Hill Climb to mark 60 years of the French performance car company.

Lord March himself is going to open the 2015 Festival of Speed in the beautiful Celebration car, which now has the word 'Goodwood' in its title, although it sports largely the same livery as it did for its premiere at the Circuit de la Sarthe. Lord March will drive it up the hill to kick off this year's festivities, while the rest of the machines will go up the route on Friday.

Anything else?

The full list of Alpines going up the hill are: the A106, Alpine's first production car; the A108, a coupé based on the cabriolet A106; the A110, probably Alpine's most recognisable car; an M65 sports prototype, a car which won the 1965 Reims 12 Hours 1300cc trophy; an A110 1800 Groupe 4 rally car; an Alpine A442 B Le Mans-winner driven by René Arnoux; and the Signatech-Alpine A450 B, this year's Le Mans and World Endurance Championship contender.
