Sean Doyle joins Murphy Prototypes as Supported Young Driver.

Wicklow based Racing Driver and Nissan brand ambassador Sean Doyle has been announced as a Supported Young Driver for the Irish based Le Mans Endurance Racing Team, Murphy Prototypes.

As part of the programme, Doyle, who is currently leading the Irish ASK Supercar Championship, will work with the team over the coming season to broaden his knowledge and prepare for a future career in International Sportscar Racing. Doyle will be mentored by team owner Greg Murphy who also manages the career of some of Sportscar racing's top drivers.

Part of the Murphy Prototypes 'curriculum' will include instruction on sponsorship activation and driver management as well as an introduction to the teams and relevant people in the European Le Mans Series (ELMS) and particularly the LMP3 class, where Doyle hopes to race in the future.

Speaking about his partnership with Murphy Prototypes Doyle said: "I'm very grateful to Greg Murphy for this opportunity. I attended the Silverstone race and it was a real eye opener as I had never before worked with a team with this level of commitment and professionalism. The step up from what we do in Ireland to the ELMS is incredible and I have a lot to learn."

"Greg has already introduced me to a number of people who will be important to know in the future, as well as giving me some fantastic opportunities to offer to sponsors and I can't wait to get to the next event at Imola."

"I met Sean for the first time at a Corporate event in Mondello Park and he has kept in touch with me ever since," said Greg Murphy. "I've been really impressed by his results on track, his ability with people off the track and how hard he has worked to get where he is."

"I'm happy to be able to assist Sean to expand his knowledge through working with us and hopefully the experience of being involved with Murphy Prototypes and the ELMS will motivate him to work even harder towards competing on the international stage."
