So here we have what Land Rover is calling the final piece of its 'Inspired by Britain' range of tweaked Evoques - the NW8. If you're wondering why it's called that, it's because that's the postcode for the creative area of north-west London that's home to, among other things, Abbey Road.
Following on from the SW1 Monochrome and SW1 Colour special editions, this is essentially a spit'n'polish styling exercise based on the Dynamic model. It comes exclusively in Fuji White paintwork with a Firenze Red contrast roof and matching door mirror caps. Even the Range Rover badging on the bonnet and tailgate are given the red treatment, while the 20-inch alloys are Narvik Black. Further exterior styling cues are darkened headlights and fog lamps, clear rear light clusters, Santorini Black wing vents and grille and black-finished bumper inserts.
The interior is said to be 'equally distinctive' with a choice of Taurus leather Ebony seats with Pimento perforated inserts, or Ebony seats with perforated Ebony inserts. The headrests are embroidered with the word 'Evoque' and carrying on the red theme there's an Anodised Red rotary drive selector with matching CommandShift gearshift paddles or, on the manual versions, a white gear lever insert with red graphics.
Finally, to play on that Abbey Road link, guess what the motif of the NW8 is? That's right, graphical representations of four different Evoques (LRX Concept, five-door, Coupé and the Convertible Concept) on a zebra crossing. Now, where did they get that idea from...?

Revealed at the Montreal Auto Show in Canada, Land Rover went on to say the NW8 won't be available in all markets - including, bizarrely of all, the UK, the place that 'inspired' it, so it's unlikely to be sold in Ireland either. Only 1,000 NW8s will be built for sale globally.
