SsangYong calls its new compact SUV the Tivoli

Korean Juke rival named after Italian town near Rome - not Dublin theatre.

SsangYong has confirmed that its B-segment crossover - hawked around a number of motor shows in recent years as either the X100 or the XIV - will be called the Tivoli when it goes on sale.

The Tivoli, due to go head-to-head with the likes of the Nissan Juke, will be available in its native Korea from January 2015 and takes its name from the town near Rome that is home to the Villa d'Este.

Anything else?

We can also see more of what the Tivoli will look like, as these are the latest rendered images of the car's interior and exterior. The body is said to 'embrace the rhythmical motion' of SsangYong's new design language, while the interior design of a comparable quality to anything you'd find in a Kia.
