Ken Block's latest ride makes the Batmobile cry

1965 Ford Mustang to star in Gymkhana Seven, all 845hp of it.

World renowned mad man and breaker of cars Ken Block has unveiled his latest ride, and somewhere Batman is crying into his cape as Block's Hoonicorn is what the Batmobile wants to be when it grows up.

Built over two years by Block and RTR - the tuning brand owned by noted drifter Vaughan Gittin Jr - the Hoonicorn is a 845hp, all-wheel drive Ford Mustang that is set to take centre stage in the upcoming Gymkhana Seven.

Based around a 1965 Ford Mustang notchback the car features a 6.7-litre Roush Yates V8 engine and a one-off all-wheel drive system from Sadev - makers of transmission components for such cars as the MINI Countryman ALL4 Dakar racer and Caterham 7 620 R. The styling of the widebody kit is said to have been inspired by WRC, DTM and even toy cars from Block's youth. Poor Kenny must have had a pretty dark childhood, as the Hoonicorn is downright scary...

"I'm stoked to be able to publicly unveil this car for the first time at SEMA in the Ford booth," said Block. "This is a project that I've been working on for two years, so to see it fully come to fruition and be able to drive it for Gymkhana Seven was absolutely amazing. I also knew that working with Vaughn and his RTR team was the right choice for this project since Mustangs are their world, but they really went above and beyond on this car. The attention to detail with the fabrication and bodywork blows my mind. This is hands-down the best Gymkhana car I've had yet."

Anything else?
Kenny from the Block's Mustang will be on display on the Ford stand at SEMA in Las Vegas this week before it makes its way to an as yet undisclosed location, to be tortured for Gymkhana Seven.
