Cosworth has announced the next phase of its aftermarket Power Packages for the Subaru BRZ, Toyota GT86 and - in the USA - Scion FR-S. Up to 80hp increases are available and the packages go on sale later in November, although it isn't clear if they will be offered in Ireland officially.
There are four 'Stage 1' power options designed to improve engine breathing with each increment building on the last, allowing owners to increase power as their budget allows - up to 40hp can be gained through the Stage 1 packages. For the Stage 2 upgrade a supercharger, intercooler and new intake manifold have been designed for the boxer engine.
Cosworth's power and torque curves for its Power Packages show the Stage 2.0 output as just under 290hp. Forced induction also produces a smoother torque curve with a maximum of around 306Nm.
