DTM win marked by BMW M4 special

Strictly limited 23-unit run of DTM Champion Edition released by BMW.

Following a dominant title-winning season by the M4 in its first DTM season, BMW is celebrating by bringing out a limited edition of the M4 Coupé.

Quite predictably called the M4 DTM Champion Edition, just 23 of these special M4s will be built, as that was the number of the car piloted by 2014 Drivers' Champion Marco Wittman - he wrapped up the title at the Lausitzring in September with two rounds of the ten-race series still to go.

No mechanical changes to the running gear means the M4 DTM CE still makes 425hp, meaning 0-100km/h in 4.1 seconds, with fuel consumption of 8.8 litres/100km (32.1mpg) and 204g/km CO2. All 23 DTMs will be Alpine White, featuring a matt-black bonnet and boot lid that both wear multi-coloured rainbow pinstripes to echo the racing car's livery.

There's a black detailing line running along the car's flanks, while the kidney grille surrounds are orange; there's an M logo behind the front wheelarches, the number 23 is on the doors and there are stickers bearing the legends 'WIT' and 'DTM Champion 2014' on the rear side windows.

Anything else?
Inside, Wittman's signature features on a carbon fibre dash trim and in the sill treads.
