TomTom has announced that it is bringing its LIVE services technology to Ireland for the first time.
The GO 1000 LIVE delivers navigation and route guidance that continuously adapts to changing road conditions, which, according to TomTom, always gives drivers the fastest route to a destination. LIVE services allows drives to deal with issues such as delays, traffic congestion and speed limits.
This service also features traffic, mobile speed cameras and local Google search along with QuickGPSfix and weather updates.
The GO LIVE 1000 is TomTom's first device range to feature the capacitive Fluid Touch screen, which lets drivers pinch to zoom in and out of maps, or scroll through menus with the tips of their fingers.
For the first time in Ireland, this device automatically connects to TomTom's HD Traffic system to give Irish drivers accurate and detailed LIVE traffic information. When the measured traffic conditions differ from the expected flow rates, the TomTom GO LIVE 1000 calculates a better alternative route if one is available and adjusts the arrival time accordingly.
The GO LIVE 1000 is available to buy now and costs €279. TomTom LIVE Services is now available in 33 countries. Free for 12 months, €49.95 for 2nd year of subscription.
