Lichte's Audi gets LA show debut

A concept by Audi's new Head of Design previews the look of Audis to come.

Proper teasing work from Audi here, as it is promising to unveil the first concept car developed under the direction of new Head of Audi Design, Marc Lichte, at the Los Angeles Auto Show (LAAS) next month.

We have nothing more to go on than this solitary plan-view image of the machine, but rest assured this concept will preview the family look of all production Audis in the years to come.

German Lichte was appointed to his new role in February 2014 and his first masterwork is said to involve the core competencies of the brand - 'sportiness, lightweight design and quattro drive'.

The new concept car will be revealed at LAAS on November 19.

Anything else?
Lichte, 45, began his professional career at Volkswagen AG in 1996 and worked as an exterior designer. He became Head of the Exterior Design Studio in 2006 and some of his past highlights from Volkswagen include the Golfs Mks 5-7, the Passats Mks 6-8, the Touareg and the Phaeton.
