What's the best thing about it?
Well, it's a Mustang. Drive it and you'll look like Steve McQueen. At least that's what Ford hopes more than a few European customers will think from early next year. Flanking the Mustang on its Paris stage will be the new S-Max (chassis from the Mondeo, new low-emissions diesel engines, lots of high-tech), the updated C-Max (new grille, new 99g/km 1.5-litre diesel engine) and the Edge (biggish SUV, American styling, 180hp 2.0-litre diesel, takes on the Audi Q5), as well as a tweaked Focus ST and, of course, the long-gestating, finally-really-here new Mondeo.
"These great new vehicles will kick start what I believe will be another major year for Ford of Europe", said Stephen Odell, Ford executive vice president, Europe, Middle East and Africa. "2015 will be a year in which the Ford of Europe product-led business transformation continues to make significant advances."
Show stopper or floor filler?
Mustang and S-Max? Stopper. The rest? Filler.
