These are the first images of Honda's new Juke-rivalling HR-V. Set for its world premiere at the upcoming Paris Motor Show, the Jazz-based compact crossover shares a lot with its stable mates and also brings some new tech of its own to the market.
Chief amongst the former are the Honda 'Magic Seats', which we know from the likes of the Civic and which will give the HR-V a useful interior with a host of seating arrangements depending on your needs. The HR-V also uses a centrally mounted fuel tank to create (Honda says) "one of the most spacious and adaptable small SUV cabins." It should certainly do wonders for boot space anyway.
Styling wise Honda has gone down the "coupé in an SUV body" road, with a sloped off rear end giving the HR-V a sportier look. Despite the roofline Honda says it does not impinge on the practicality of the car. The coupé-like looks continue with hidden rear door handles.
Anything else?
The Honda HR-V originally debuted in Japan as the Vezel before gaining the HR-V nameplate at the New York Auto Show earlier this year. The vehicle to be revealed in Paris is officially a prototype, but bar some motor show frippery it is the car that will arrive in showrooms in 2015.
