New i20 revealed by Hyundai

Design renderings preview new Hyundai i20, due for Paris debut.

Hyundai is readying the new generation of i20 for production and has released some design renderings of the forthcoming car, due to be premiered at the Paris Motor Show in October.

The B-segment challenger makes heavy use of the 'Fluidic Sculpture 2.0' design philosophy seen on other Hyundais, with a long bonnet, wide stance, sculpted sides and a blacked-out C-pillar to visually elongate the i20.

It also wears the now-established hexagonal grille of the Korean marque with a fresh horizontal strip linking the headlights, while the rear-end treatment is described as 'distinctive', due to a wraparound rear window and new lamp clusters.

More details on the i20 will be released ahead of the Paris Motor Show.

The new i20 was penned in Europe, at Hyundai's design centre in Rüsselsheim, Germany.
