New Volkswagen Eos revealed

Eos gets facelift and revised engine line-up.

Volkswagen has revealed the first images of its new Eos model. It gains the now familiar family face that we have seen already on cars such as the Polo, Sharan and the forthcoming new Passat.

The new Eos will be available with a range of petrol and diesel engines when deliveries commence in Ireland early in 2011.  These include a 1.4-litre TSI engine developing 122hp, a 2.0-litre TSI unit producing 210hp and a 2.0-litre TDI engine producing 140hp.  This unit, with BlueMotion Technology modifications including automatic stop-start and battery regeneration systems, returns combined consumption of 4.8l/100km.
