As you can probably guess by the name, the Golf R 400 will boast a colossal 400hp that will be channelled through the car's four-wheel drive system and the automatic DSG transmission. In addition to the extra power, the car looks like it will feature some (very) flared wheel arches, uprated suspension and larger wheels.
The front end will feature some distinctive, if not divisive, 'Lemon Yellow' highlights that include a horizontal stripe across the grille - similar to the red one seen on the current GTI - and the yellow theme will also continue to the interior in the form of contrasting stitching.
Anything else?
Volkswagen claims that the Golf R 400 could manage 0-100km/h in just 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 280km/h. Don't get too excited though, as Volkswagen has also said that the Golf R 400 will remain simply a concept with no plans for future production. Spoilsports.
