Nissan Juke almost unboxed

Teaser image of new Nissan Juke ahead of next week's Geneva reveal.

It's time for some classic squint-and-try-to-work-out-what's-going-on motor show teaser shots. This time it's Nissan's turn to give us the vaguest hint possible of what it will be showing next week, and behind the splashy water-balloon-full-of-paint effect, you can just discern the face of the new Juke. We say new, but it will actually be a heavily updated version of the current car and as you cannot-really-see from the photo, it's getting a new face. The original Juke had a face only a mother could love, but it looks as if the new one will get something much smarter, somewhere between a GT-R and the new Qashqai. Nissan says the car will feature "Improved efficiency, advanced technology and greater practicality." Presumably that means that, like the new Qashqai, it will have a diesel version that will duck under the 100g/km barrier and have the ancient 1.6-litre petrol engine replaced by the high tech new 1.2 petrol turbo.

Anything else?
Nissan is keen to push the Juke through the usual social media channels and is inviting Twitterers and Facebookers to take part in a campaign that will see them get an early reveal of the car ahead of its debut on the Geneva show stand next Tuesday.
